CA4 and cancer: 5-(3, 4, 5-Trimethoxybenzoyl)-4-methyl-2-(p-tolyl) imidazole (BZML, 77, Figure 11), developed by Bai et al., is now in pre-clinical stages with strong cytotoxic activity and low nanomolar IC50 values across a family of human cancer cell lines inclusive of MDR subtypes, superior to those of CA-4.
