HIF1A and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: The levels of glucose transport protein 1 (GLUT1) gradually increases during the transition from normal cervix conditions to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia; the expression of this molecule is related to lymph node metastasis, and the expression levels of GLUT1 and HIF-1α are correlated, indicating that HIF-1α may regulate the expression of downstream genes that are involved in the energy supply [114].
