METTL3 and hepatocellular carcinoma: The authors of a previous study have suggested that METTL3 could repress the expression of SOCS2 in HCC by an m6A‐YTHDF2‐dependent mechanism34 and that KIAA1429 plays a role in regulating ID2 expression by regulating m6A of ID2 mRNA.36 Similarly, METTL14 may participate in the malignant progression of HCC by adjusting the m6A of CSAD, GOT2, and SOCS2; however, this remains to be verified by further experiments.
