Univariate RDA revealed that severity of liver disease (assessed by Child‐Pugh and MELD score), aetiology, PPI use, lactulose use, nutritional status (assessed by SGA), age, lactulose/mannitol ratio, albumin, bilirubin, CRP, hemoglobin, creatinine, INR, sCD163 and sMR were significant explanatory variables for microbiome composition (P < .1).
