Serum AAT-A3F levels were not associated with steatosis (S1, 11.06 ± 8.92 μM; S2, 12.98 ± 15.46 μM; S3, 9.60 ± 5.14 μM; Fig. 2b), but significantly increased with lobular inflammation (LI0, 6.74 ± 3.88 μM; LI1, 11.15 ± 9.02 μM; LI2, 14.37 ± 17.03 μM; LI3, 18.45 ± 10.31 μM; Fig. 2c) and hepatocyte ballooning (B0, 7.80 ± 4.36 μM; B1, 14.29 ± 15.74 μM; B2, 13.77 ± 10.38 μM; Fig. 2d). This evidence concerns the gene SERPINA1 and steatosis.
