SOCS3 and Insulin resistance: As obesity is associated with inflammatory changes [15], we wanted to build on our previous investigations/findings on the ‘EaCH’ cohort [16,17,18] and now focused on the inflammatory markers, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) which have been identified as key candidates of obesity-related insulin resistance [19,20,21].
