The first link between TYK2 and immunity to cancer came from studies in Tyk2-deficient mice, which develop hematopoietic malignancies upon oncogenic induction or systemic transplantation of tumors, for example, Abelson-induced B-lymphoid leukemia/lymphoma, Tel-JAK2-induced T-lymphoid leukemia, and EL4 lymphoma [86,98]. This evidence concerns the gene TYK2 and cancer.
