There were no substantial differences in the magnitude of the associations of alcohol, beer/cider, wine, fibre, apple/pear, and carbohydrates with breast cancer risk by hormone receptor status of tumours, with the possible exception of apple/pear and carbohydrate intake, which may have no association with risk of ER/PR negative tumours (Fig. 3). Here, NR4A1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
