To assess whether this pathway is associated with the inflammatory phenotype in breast cancer, we first analysed the level of expression of phosphoserine aminotransferase 1 (PSAT1, second enzyme of the serine biosynthesis pathway) that we recently observed to be regulated by IKKε (https://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/855361v1). The gene discussed is IKBKE; the disease is breast cancer.
