Among the alterationsincluded in these signatures, reduction of DDB2 and overexpressionof EXO1, NEIL3, BRCA2 andBRIP1, were independently correlated with worse prognoses,revealing single-gene signatures that represent new feasible biomarkers.EXO1 and NEIL3 exhibited remarkableoverexpression and showed to be involved in DSB restoration kinetics and radiationresistance of GBM cell lines, respectively (de Sousaet al., 2017).
