Combinatory approaches with programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4) immune-checkpoint inhibitors have shown a promising antitumor activity in advanced or metastatic GC [3–5] but the long-term efficacy warranting further verification in more phase 2 and 3 trial studies.
