For example, NFIL3 is a well‐documented transcriptional repressor,38 and there are a number of research works that showed that its expression is elevated in various cancer types and high expression of NFIL3 is associated with malignant hallmarks of cancer39, 40, 41, 42 However, in our study, we revealed that this rhythm gene is universally downregulated at the mRNA level in all cancer types compared with their normal tissues, which is different from previous studies. This evidence concerns the gene NFIL3 and cancer.
