There was no difference in PCr/ATP between sham groups, but the clear trend for lower PCr/ATP in WT-TAC hearts was completely prevented by Mt-CK-OE, such that PCr/ATP was significantly higher in OE-TAC versus WT-TAC hearts (P = 0.007) thereby maintaining normal baseline levels (Fig. 4b). This evidence concerns the gene CKMT2 and persistent truncus arteriosus.
