Previous studies reported supramaximal concentrations of FGF2 to be 1.25 nM in human lung epithelial cancer cells (H1703) (Kanodia et al., 2014), 5.6 nM in rat mammary fibroblast cells (Rama 27) (Zhu et al., 2010), 31.25 nM in human metastatic breast cancer cell line (MDA-MB-134) (Kanodia et al., 2014), and 56 nM in primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) (Fox et al., 1988). This evidence concerns the gene FGF2 and breast cancer.
