CAB39 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Similar to our findings, CAB39 has been shown to play key roles in inhibiting proliferation and migration.29–31 However, the high expression of CAB39 in hepatocellular cancer was found to be related to growth and metastasis by activating the extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway.32 The reason for different CAB39 behaviours in different cancer types might be attributed to its type of activation.
