Apart from mutations of YARS, loss-of-function variants of other types of aaRS such as AARS (alanyl-tRNA synthetase), HARS (histidyl-tRNA synthetase), KARS (lysyl-tRNA synthetase), and MARS (methionyl-tRNA synthetase) were also reported to be related with Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease and other types of neuropathy (Abbott et al. 2018; Gonzalez et al. 2013; McLaughlin et al. 2010, 2012; Vester et al. 2013). Here, AARS1 is linked to neuropathy.
