Both RNAseq and NanoString analyses showed that melanoma tumors grown in Siah2−/− mice exhibit reduced expression of Ccl17 and Ccl22, chemokines expressed by tolerogenic DCs49,50, along with increased expression of Cxcl9, a chemokine functioning in T cell recruitment to tumor sites (Fig. 1d). This evidence concerns the gene CCL22 and melanoma.
