AGO1, located at chromosome 1p34‐35, is frequently deleted in human cancers, including LC.35, 36 Some studies have suggested that AGO1 is a class of miRNA‐related biosynthesis genes, involving the negative regulation of the translation and stability of target mRNA; this gene was an important component of the RISC complex with AGO2 and DICER and also plays a crucial role in miRNA‐mediated gene regulation37, 38, 39 and participates in the development of LC. The gene discussed is AGO1; the disease is laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
