IDH3A and glioblastoma: According to the 2016 WHO classification of central nervous system (CNS) tumors, the diffuse gliomas are mainly divided into five subtypes based on the mutation status of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) and Chromosome 1p/19q status, namely low-grade gliomas (LGG) with IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-intact subtype, IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted subtype, LGG with IDH-wildtype subtype, glioblastoma (GBM) with IDH-mutant subtype, and GBM with IDH-wildtype subtype [2].
