In a study that looked at miRNA expression in 59 of the NCI60 cell lines that had a E-Cadherin high and vimentin low (EMT inhibitory) phenotype, they observed a strong negative correlation with miR-200 expression, suggesting that this miRNA is a universal regulator of metastasis in many cancer types including lung, kidney, colon and ovarian cancer [41]. This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and ovarian carcinoma.
