Attempts have been made to identify the different chemotactic factors released by tumor cells to facilitate the recruitment and corruption of mesenchymal cells [31,60]; some of the commonly identified factors are peptide signaling molecules, stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF-1), monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1), leucine-37 (LL-37), and transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) [31,60]. The gene discussed is CAMP; the disease is neoplasm.
