The recent advances in genetics have led to the discovery of multiple mutations or genetic alterations in clear cell renal cell carcinomas (RCCs), including mutations or alterations of the genes encoding polybromo-1 protein (PBRM1), BRCA1-associated protein 1 (BAP1), SET domain containing 2 enzyme (SETD2), and lysine-specific demethylase 5C (KDM5C) [87–91], resulting in increased interest in the use of radiogenomics for assessing clear cell RCCs [92–95]. Here, KDM5C is linked to clear cell renal carcinoma.
