PRDX5 and lung cancer: We first analyzed the expression of PRDX5 in both mRNA and protein levels in five lung cancer cell lines (A549, H460, NCI-H1299, Calu1 and SK-MES-1) by using qRT-PCR and Western blot method, respectively, and found that the expression of PRDX5 mRNA and protein were all higher than that in the normal bronchial epithelial cell 16-HBE, which increased the likelihood that PRDX5 may participated in the malignant progression of NCSLC (Figure 1A and 1B).
