In the latter cases, the chemotherapy for mGCT might accelerate the growth of AML cells and precipitate the onset of AML, because hematopoietic cells with TP53 mutation are thought to grow dominantly compared with wild-type hematopoietic cells after chemotherapy, which is also speculated as a reason for secondary leukemia after chemotherapy [20, 21].
