In consistence to the findings reported in NPC cells that extracellular matrix SRGN has recently been shown to upregulate the expression of CD44 in an autocrine manner via reciprocally activating the MAPK/β-catenin axis [39], we also observed that SRGN KD significantly downregulated CD44 and nuclear β-catenin level in H460 cells (data not shown). Here, CD44 is linked to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
