IGF1 and retinal disorder: In the subset of 39 patients who had full retinopathy of prematurity exams and serum growth factors collected, higher IGF-1 levels at 7 days and 35 weeks postmenstrual age were associated with decreased odds of ≥stage 2 retinopathy of prematurity (OR 0.86 (95% CI 0.75–0.98) and OR 0.9013 (95% CI 0.82–0.99), respectively) when controlling for sex.
