To assess the expression of some typical differentially expressed genes involved in the calcium pathway in pancreatic cancer tissues, we performed an analysis via the Oncomine database and determined that some of these genes, such as CACNA1B, ADRB3, P2RX1, CAMKIIA, and NTSR1, had lower expression in the cancer tissues than normal tissues (Figure 5C), while these genes were elevated after TOB1 overexpression (Figure 5D). This evidence concerns the gene CAMK2A and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
