As oligodendrocyte survival is closely related to the production of myelin sheaths and preservation of axon function [32], we introduced adult oligodendrocyte-precursor cell (OPCs) marker platelet-derived growth factor receptor α (PDGFRα) and oligodendrocyte-lineage cell marker Nkx2.2 to explore the role of COs transplantation on oligodendrogenesis after stroke. The gene discussed is NKX2-2; the disease is stroke disorder.
