MYLK and squamous cell carcinoma: Our study revealed few interesting observations regarding the role of ROCK and MLCK in regulating the actomyosin machinery, and ultimately the migration of human primary keratinocytes and epidermoid carcinoma cells: (1) ROCK is critical for controlling the biophysical properties (contractility, focal adhesions levels, stress fibre formation) of normal (HPKs) and malignant skin epithelial cells (A-431 cells) and impacts their migration by influencing the p-MLC levels.
