Huang et al reported that treatment with a GHSR1a antagonist inhibits GSHR1a signaling and prevents olanzapine‐induced hyperphagia in rats.23, 36 However, widespread GHSR1a blockade may not be ideal for combating SGA‐induced obesity given the beneficial effects of ghrelin on cognitive function.37 However, restoring normal hypothalamic GHSR1a activity by targeting the 5‐HT2c receptor‐GHSR1a dimer may directly address the mechanisms underlying olanzapine‐induced obesity. The gene discussed is GHSR; the disease is obesity disorder.
