Active smoking (OR 4.42 (95%CI 1.69–11.58), p = 0.002), generalized purpura (OR 2.41 (95%CI 1.03–5.61), p = 0.041), and increasing age (OR 1.04 (95%CI 1.01–1.07), p = 0.007), but not serum IgA, emerged also as factors associated with acute kidney injury or nephrotic syndrome.
