Daratumumab, a human anti-CD38 antibody, effectively induces myeloma cell death mostly through antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), but can also elicit complement-dependent cytotoxicity(CDC) and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) [41,66], leading to its FDA-approval for treatment of treatment refractory multiple myeloma in 2015 [67].
