The role of IL-10 in the physiopathogeny of eosinophilic CRSwNP is still controversial, since the authors diverge regarding the increase of IL-10 expression in polypoid tissue in relation to the sinonasal mucosa.42, 43 Recently, however, some authors have suggested that the endotype of patients with CRSwNP, characterized by the presence of IL-10, shows less severe and more easily treatable disease.44 Here, IL10 is linked to chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
