ABL1 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disorder marked by leukocytosis and the presence of myeloblast in various stages in the peripheral blood due to persistent activation of BCR-ABL gene, which encodes proteins involved in activation of tyrosine kinase transduction pathway (Hochhaus et al., 2009; Rao et al.,2010; Radich et al., 2016; Druker et al., 2001).
