Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the secretion of IFN-γ, IL-10, and IL-1β in PBMCs from individuals with different clinical status of infection (ocular, chronic asymptomatic, and non-infected) when stimulated with the virulent wild-type (WT) T. gondii RH strain, and with knock-out (KO) T. gondii rop16 and rop18 mutants. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and infection.
