In the case of laryngeal cancer, it has shown that genistein induced the expression of miR-1469, which, in turn, promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited the expression of myeloid cell leukemia 1, an antiapoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family of apoptosis-regulating proteins, thus preventing human laryngeal cancer (Ma et al., 2018). Here, BCL2 is linked to laryngeal carcinoma.
