Examining PGRN-positive plaques in sections from low plaque (Fig. 5 (I) (panels D-F), high plaque (Fig. 5 (I) (panels G-I), and Alzheimer’s disease sections (Fig. 5 (I) (panels J-L) identified different amounts of LAMP-1 staining, but limited colocalization of PGRN with LAMP-1 in these plaque structures was evident. This evidence concerns the gene LAMP1 and Alzheimer disease.
