Compared to control tissue (0.25 ± 0.03 mU/mg), the NAD(P)H oxidase activity decreased by trend in ICM tissue (0.15 ± 0.03 mU/mg, p = 0.09) and was unchanged in DCM tissue (0.35 ± 0.09 mU/mg, p = 0.63) (Figure 4). The gene discussed is FMO5; the disease is familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
