TNF and diabetes mellitus: Classically, these infiltrations were observed in the Langerhans islets with insulitis without cell-destruction, corresponding to pre-diabetes, the derma and the colonic lamina propria of all animal recipients reconstituted with TGFβR-KO thymocytes (Fig. 6a Table 1) and were associated with IFN-γ and TNFα production by CD4+ T lymphocytes infiltrating the tissues (Fig. 6b).
