Other actionable genes of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway were frequently altered in IBC with likely loss‐of‐function mutations in PTEN, TSC1, and TSC2 and gain‐of‐function mutations in AKT1, AKT3, MTOR, RPTOR, and RICTOR. Thus, like non‐IBC patients, IBC patients may benefit from inhibition of the pathway with the PI3K/AKT/mTOR inhibitors approved and in development (Kenna et al., 2018). The gene discussed is RICTOR; the disease is inflammatory breast carcinoma.
