Other conditions may raise the levels of ACE and might have a differential diagnosis with sarcoidosis such as Leprosy, Myeloma, Gaucher Disease, Amyloidosis, Acute Histoplasmosis, Hyperthyroidism, Hyperparathyroidism, Alcoholic Cirrhosis, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Oncogenic Hypercalcemic, Military Tuberculosis, Pulmonary Endothelia Disease, Elverson-Rosenthal syndrome - “Sarcoid-like” granuloma. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and alcoholic liver cirrhosis.
