A significant inverse correlation could be found between these parameters for RA (r = −0.79, p = 0.0067; n = 10) and OA osteoblasts (r = −0.67, p = 0.0083; n = 14) as well as the combination of both (r = −0.66, p = 0.0005; n = 24), i.e., the mineralization activity was reduced with increasing IL-6 secretion levels (Figure 4). Here, IL6 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
