TTN mutations are associated with cardiac diseases, particularly dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) that presents with ventricular enlargement and systolic dysfunction in the absence of alternative etiologies of cardiomyopathy such as valvular, hypertensive, congenital, or ischemic causes (Bozkurt et al., 2016). The gene discussed is TTN; the disease is dilated cardiomyopathy.
