To this end, we identified elevated mRNA levels of RASAL1 in tumor samples from patients with colon cancer, and evaluated the effects of RASAL1 on the behavior of human colon cancer cells and found that RASAL1 inhibited cell proliferation in LoVo and HCT-116 cells, and found that RASAL1 was in low expression levels in colon cancer tissues and cells, overexpression of RASAL1 inhibit the colon cancer cell proliferation, and the molecular mechanism was associated with the arrest of cell cycle signal transduction system. Here, RASAL1 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
