H19 and neoplasm: Luo et al. 24 found that H19, with its function as a cancer suppressor gene, can combine with histone-lysine N-transmethylase to inhibit the expression of epithelial cadherin by directly inhibiting the transcription of epithelial cadherin and indirectly stimulating the Wnt/β signaling pathway to promote the epithelial-mesenchymal transition, invasion and migration of tumor cells.
