Interestingly, three out of the five non-synonymous mutated genes, Transmembrane Channel Like 3 (TMC3), Olfactory Receptor Family 6 Subfamily K Member 6 (OR6K6), and Unc-5 Family C-Terminal Like (UNC5CL), have been reported on in regard to an involvement with various cancer types [37,38]. The gene discussed is TMC3; the disease is cancer.
