In a recent longitudinal study on old non-demented patients in Germany, FABP3 and neurogranin along with the basic AD biomarkers (p-tau, t-tau, and Aß) were measured in a cohort of cognitively healthy elderly (60–80 years old) (Höglund et al., 2017; Mattsson et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene NRGN and Alzheimer disease.
