Although miR-2682-5p has no known function 85, it was predicted to target two of our candidate genes, KCNJ5 and PRLR. A recent study reported miR-2682-5p was one of the most abundant miRNAs (95th percentile) in the aqueous humor of exfoliation glaucoma (XFG) patients, but not primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients 86. The gene discussed is PRLR; the disease is open-angle glaucoma.
