NFKB1 and viral infectious disease: We observed co-localization of IKKα and ZNF268a in the cytoplasm by confocal microscopy, which indicated the involvement of cytoplasmic ZNF268a in regulating NF-κB activation (Figure 4H), and, more importantly, further immunoprecipitation experiments using antibody against endogenous ZNF268a revealed enhanced interaction of IKKα and ZNF268a following viral infection (Figure 4I).
