In contrast, there have been several reports about disease control using the combination of TAC and an anti‐TNFα antibody in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.19, 20 One study evaluated the efficacy of this combination in 624 patients with rheumatoid arthritis who had shown an inadequate response to anti‐TNFα monotherapy.19 Remission was induced or disease activity was reduced in 391 patients (62.7%) at 24 weeks after the start of combined therapy, and this combination was shown to be effective. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
